BODEGAS NELEMAN

Our winery and organically grown vineyards are located in the very small village Casas del Rey, in UNESCO biosphere protected National Park Hoces del Cabriel in the Hills of Valencia, Spain. Dutchman Derrick Neleman, inspired by the land, tastes and lifestyle of the Mediterranean Spain, created Bodegas Neleman to offer a range of organic-vegan-cabron neutral wines that reflect a strong belief: wine is a heady celebration of creativity, art, nature, time, delicious taste and ecologicaclly sound thinking. We use native varieties and coupages of Macabeo, Monastrell, Bobal, Tempranillo, Marselan or Garnacha, which take us back to the origins of the wine and combine it with the main international grapes such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Muscat, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot. . The Neleman vineyards are located in the mountains to the east of the Valencian Community, in a small village of only 40 inhabitants called Casas del Rey. Our vineyards are surrounded by olive and almond trees and are located in the Hoces del Cabriel Natural Park, declared a Natural Biosphere Reserve by Unesco. Supervised and cared for by the oenologist Diego Fernández Pons, the vines have been carefully planted to harvest the best of the soil that gives them that base and heart. And this makes its taste delicious: Modern wines without excess oak or overly ripe nuances; balance, richness, freshness and passion. Coming mainly from native grapes, old vines, sandstone soils and a wonderful Mediterranean climate. All our wines are clarified with a vegetable protein, obtained from peas, they are vegan. The disappearance of the commercial use of cork oak forests would have negative impacts on the environment, which is why it is very important to protect them. As defenders, we will not substitute the use of natural cork for materials such as plastic or aluminum. We are proud to use the most innovative and sustainable packaging (Helix cap, Dtech caps...). Each label has a story to connect with our clients, and most of them are awarded or screened on the best design blogs around the world.
